Fantasy football 2018, Week 11 rankings: Who to start and sit
By Jon Dove
Start: Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles
@ New Orleans Saints
Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles offense is not as potent as they were last year. However, this is a group that still has plenty of talent and could find its stride at any moment. Wentz hasn’t been the issue as he has recovered well from last year’s knee injury.
One of the big issues is the lack of a running game which has put more pressure on Wentz. However, this is something that works well for Wentz’s fantasy owners.
They can put him in their starting lineup knowing he’ll get plenty of opportunities to throw the ball. The deadline deal to bring Golden Tate into the mix is something that will help down the stretch. This week offers a great matchup for Wentz and the Eagles offense.
The New Orleans Saints have had issues defending the pass for most of the year. Wentz will look to exploit this weakness in an attempt to keep pace with Drew Brees.
Sit: Mitch Trubisky, Chicago Bears
vs. Minnesota Vikings
Mitch Trubisky has been fantasy gold over the past few weeks. He’s someone who is getting plenty of opportunities to take shots down field. Matt Nagy has shown plenty of trust in Trubisky and continues to add more to his plate.
However, the Bears schedule has been weak during Trubisky’s recent success. He faces a much tougher matchup this week when the Bears host the Minnesota Vikings.
Mike Zimmer and his defense are a attacking group that can generate a ton of pressure on the quarterback. Trubisky is going to need to make quicker reads and avoid making mistakes. It could be a situation where he’s doing a lot of running.
