High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Chris Paul (vs GS – $9,000): Needs 37.6 fantasy points. The Rockets have looked better in recent games and Paul playing more like himself has certainly helped. The Rockets are going to bring it against the Warriors, we know that much. And without having to chase Steph Curry around, Paul should be able to commit more on both sides of the ball. This is a matchup he does well against and it’s a good salary for him. Diagnosis: Plenty to like on Thursday. Reliable and a good ceiling.

Jamal Murray (vs ATL – $7,500): Needs 31.4 fantasy points. Murray continues to trend downward and that’s very discouraging. The ceiling is there, we know that. And the Nuggets offense should be better. But it’s not clicking right now. A game against the Hawks should be a cure for the Nuggets, even if it’s just for one game. As bad as he’s looked recently, it’s tough to doubt him against Atlanta. Diagnosis: Playing poorly, but the matchup is fantastic.

Tae Young (at DEN – $7,400): Needs 31 fantasy points. You should know the deal with Young by now. He’s a high ceiling guy, and he finds ways to contribute, but he’s inconsistent. And at this salary, you just need more on a night-to-night basis. I like that Young is never outright terrible to where he’ll kill your team, but he’s also consistently under value. Diagnosis: Medium-risk, high-reward.
