High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (vs SA – $6,000): Needs 25.1 fantasy points. SGA has drawn the start in the last four games and looked very good with each passing contest. He was up to 33.5 fantasy points against the Warriors on Nov. 12. He’s a rookie, so he can crash at anytime, but the minutes are there and he can do a bit of everything. The Spurs are on a back-to-back, which should help. Diagnosis: Always be wary of rookies, but there’s a lot to like with SGA right now.

Derrick White (at LAC – $5,900): Needs 24.7 fantasy points. White has been solid on a low salary. This salary is probably too high for him, but the minutes are typically there and he’s been a good scorer. The Spurs didn’t play well against the Suns, which is worrying, but I trust that Pop will have them better prepared on Thursday. Diagnosis: Reliable to at least produce something and not completely kill your team.

Quinn Cook (at HOU – $5,800): Needs 24.3 fantasy points. Cook has been up-and-down in his three games as the starter. His good games were against the Nets and Hawks and his rough game came against the Clippers. The Rockets will be a tough matchup, which has me worried for his value on Thursday. The minutes will be there, he just has a lot to prove. Diagnosis: Will get minutes and chances, but the matchup is tough.
