Fantasy Football, Week 11: High value plays for FanDuel
By Dylan Broady
Kenny Golladay, Detroit Lions, $6,400
Stats: 601 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns
Kenny Golladay saw an extreme increase in targets in Week 10 as Golden Tate was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. Golladay also benefited from the knee injury to Marvin Jones in the fourth quarter. Golladay caught six balls for 78 yards and a touchdown against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Going forward he is at the very least a must-flex play based on his uptick in usage.
The bizarre always seems to happen by the NFL trade deadline each season. This year was no different as we saw Matthew Stafford’s favorite target traded to the Eagles. Which is good for Golladay. He is a young, strong, fast wide receiver in which the Lions clearly trust after what we witnessed in Week 10. He is a great value play in Week 11 as he will go up against the Panthers’ 22nd-ranked pass defense.
Golladay saw over 10 targets for the first time since Week 1 against the Jets. Stafford wasted no time getting him involved in a losing effort against the Chicago Bears. Nonetheless Golladay is a great play going forward. Week 11 we might also see Marvin Jones sit out if his knee injury is deemed serious, which would make Golladay the clear cut WR1 heading into this matchup at home in the dome.
The Panthers disappointed most on Thursday Night Football as they completely got shellacked by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cam and Co. will be looking for a desperation win in Detroit, which could cause this game to be a high scoring affair. Look for Golladay to come out strong against this Panthers defense who have allowed 258 passing yards per game.
Prediction: 100 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns
