Fantasy Football, Week 11: High value plays for FanDuel
By Dylan Broady
Evan Engram, New York Giants, $5,800
Stats: 145 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns (6 games played)
Evan Engram has played in only six games this season but he has been productive when on the field. Engram has helped this offense remain balanced and even though he has been surrounded by great talent, Eli Manning has still managed to find his young star tight end. With his current price tag coming into Week 11, Engram is clearly a top option for high value against a Tampa Bay defense that is 29th-ranked against the pass.
Engram has four games with at least five receptions this season. In only six games played he has shown to be a reliable fantasy asset. Week 11 boasts a great matchup for him. His consistent volume in a crowded offense is encouraging going forward. Taking what he is given is a huge plus for those who decide to play it cheap at tight end and hope Engram hits paydirt. With Eli Manning being forced to actually care by his coaching staff, look for Engram to be a strong fantasy play moving forward.
Next: Best NFL player from each state
Engram is a player you can also use around fantasy playoff time as the Giants shouldn’t rest him unless he suffers from another injury this season. The sky is the limit for him in this offense moving forward. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have lost their edge and Engram should have ample opportunity to take advantage this weekend. The Giants are coming off a huge come from behind win against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.
Tampa Bay has allowed an outright disappointing 400 total yards per game this season to opposing offenses. This should allow all the Giant skill position players to get open early and often on Sunday. New York looks to build off their win and keep the momentum flowing. Engram will be a part of that going forward. The tight end position is used more than ever in the NFL and Engram fits the mold as a potential TE1 candidate.
Prediction: 85 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
