Gasol, Mike Conley, nba trade deadline
AUBURN HILLS, MI – DECEMBER 21: Mike Conley /

High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Damian Lillard (at MIN – $9,400): Needs 39.4 fantasy points. Lillard had 58.1 fantasy points against the Lakers on Nov. 14. He produced just 34.5 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Nov. 4, but played on 28 minutes. Assuming this game is competitive, the minutes will be up, which means the production will be up. The Minnesota defense is still less than desirable and Lillard should get his points and then some. Diagnosis: High ceiling, good matchup.

Mike Conley (vs SAC – $8,300): Needs 34.7 fantasy points. Conley has been solid in his last couple outings, including a 53.8 fantasy point outburst against the Sixers. He had 41.7 fantasy points against the Kings on Oct. 24. The Grizzlies and Conley can be inconsistent, but he’s playing well right now and he can do a bit of everything. Diagnosis: Good and proven matchup and playing very well.

De’Aaron Fox (at MEM – $8,100): Needs 33.9 fantasy points. And if you want to save a little money but grab a player who can produce at the same, if not better, level than Conley, Fox is your guy. He had 46.6 fantasy points in that Grizzlies game on Oct. 24 and he’s been red hot as well. This is a different Kings and a much different Fox from last season. Diagnosis: Much like Conley, he’s hot and with a proven matchup.
