High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Spencer Dinwiddie (at WAS – $6,000): Needs 25.1 fantasy points. Dinwiddie had 28.1 fantasy points against the Heat on Nov. 14. With LeVert out, he should continue to have more duties and I still like his ceiling. He averaged 32.9 fantasy points in three games against the Wizards last season. Washington looks better compared to early play, but their defense can still be questionable. Diagnosis: Usage is good and the ceiling remains high given what the Nets need right now.

Shelvin Mack (vs SAC – $4,800): Needs 20.1 fantasy points. Mack has been all over the play this season, but he had 32.7 fantasy points against the Bucks on Nov. 14. When the minutes are there, the production is typically there. Of course, it’s a chicken and egg situation as he has to produce to earn those minutes. At this salary, I’ll trust him to keep producing. Diagnosis: Very good salary considering what he’s shown over the last couple of weeks.

Fred VanVleet (at BOS – $4,300): Needs 18 fantasy points. VanVleet has been up-and-down this season, but he typically shows up in these big showdowns. He had 26.7 fantasy points in the early season meeting against the Celtics and gets more minutes against them. Diagnosis: Typically reliable producer against a matchup where he should get minutes.
