High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs CHI – $11,500): Needs 47 fantasy points. Giannis had been at 50.8 fantasy points in each of his last two games. Fantasy points won’t be a problem on Friday, but the minutes might. If the Bucks are playing like the Bucks, they’ll route the Bulls. Even in limited minutes, Giannis will produce a big game, but maybe not big enough to justify this salary. Diagnosis: If you think the Bulls can keep it competitive, take him with all the confidence in the world.

Kawhi Leonard (at BOS – $9,700): Needs 39.6 fantasy points. One guy who will get plenty of minutes is Kawhi Leonard. He had 47.5 fantasy points against the Celtics on Oct. 19. He’s been fairly reliable this season and has a high ceiling. If the Raptors can get what they’re used to from Kyle Lowry, Leonard’s game will come easier. He typically shows up in these big games. Diagnosis: High ceiling and reliable.

Josh Richardson (at IND – $7,200): Needs 29.4 fantasy points. If Mirotic ends up playing, he’s a strong option. He’s listed as a game-time decision right now. But if he can’t go, Richardson is your only other option in the high salary category. He’s trending down right now and managed just 27 fantasy points when these two teams met on Nov. 9. The ceiling is there, but his scoring is down. Diagnosis: Does a bit of everything, but the salary is high and his scoring is down.
