Netherlands face France at the Stadion Feijenoord on Friday, Nov. 16. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Nations League has offered an unexpected path to redemption for the Netherlands, after they missed out on two consecutive major tournaments. When they were drawn in a group alongside the past two winners of the World Cup, many expected the Dutch to be out of their depth. Instead, though, they’ve looked like they very much belong in such company, with an impressive display during a narrow defeat to France being followed by a 3-0 victory over Germany.

The Netherlands have also beaten Portugal and drawn with Belgium in friendly matches since coach Ronald Koeman took over in February, so it seems that performances are at last beginning to reflect a talented squad that includes the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Gini Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay, as well as two of the most highly rated youngsters in Europe in Ajax pair Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong.

France only require a draw here to be sure of qualifying for the UEFA Nations League finals in June 2019. The world champions have gone 15 games undefeated and have won their past four matches against the Dutch, so they still go into this encounter as clear favorites despite their opponents’ recent good form. Paul Pogba, Alexandre Lacazette, Benjamin Mendy and Anthony Martial are all out injured, but Olivier Giroud, Antione Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe are expected to start. Gladbach striker Alassane Plea, signed from Nice in the summer and showing great form in the Bundesliga, could make his international debut off the bench.
