Italy welcome Portugal to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday, Nov. 17 in an important UEFA Nations League matchup. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Italy hosts Portugal on Saturday evening at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan in a crucial UEFA Nations League match. If Italy has any hope of making it to the first-ever Nations League finals next June, nothing less than a victory will do for the Azzurri.

Roberto Mancini’s men have already secured their place in League A for the next edition of the Nations League after a late Cristiano Biraghi goal saw Italy take all three points from Poland in their last match, with the result relegating Poland to League B.

But Italy will need to improve upon their offensive performance if they have any hopes of defeating Portugal. The Azzurri have only scored two goals in three matches in the Nations League and will need to take more chances in attack against a Portugal side who will be content to sit back and counter as A Selecao needs only a draw to win the group and advance to the finals.

Italy’s stingy defense, which has only yielded two goals in three matches, will be led again by center-back and Juventus stalwart Giorgio Chiellini who will be making his 100th appearance for Italy on Saturday. He will become just the seventh player to make 100 appearances for the Azzurri.

Portugal are sitting atop the group with six points from two matches. Portugal boss Fernando Santos is again without all-time leading goal scorer and captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, who has not played for A Selecao since the World Cup last June. Santos will look to Manchester City forward Bernardo Silva, Sevilla forward Andre Silva and Valencia forward Goncalo Guedes to lead the attack in Ronaldo’s absence.

Even if Portugal lose against Italy on Saturday evening, A Selecao can wrap up the group with a win or a draw against an already-eliminated Poland on Tuesday at home in the group’s final match.

Italy last met Portugal in the Nations League in September 2018 as A Selecao grabbed a 1-0 result with Andre Silva netting the winner at the Estadio da Luz.
