Fantasy Football 2018: 10 matchups to attack in Week 11
By Connor Ulrey
1. Cam Newton vs Detroit
Here comes Superman. I talked about Marvin Jones Jr. being a key part for Detroit in this matchup. Detroit trailed 26-0 last week before a couple late meaningless scores made it a respectable, slightly, 34-22 loss at Chicago. I think this one is worse. The Panthers are coming off their worst loss of the year, in one of the biggest games to date against Pittsburgh. That doesn’t sit well.
Cam Newton plays with passion and that’s a blessing and a curse. I think back to when he was criticized for his post-Super Bowl loss press tour and how much the internet attacked him. For shame football twitter. Newton is having a great season, something he needed and the Panthers aren’t out of the discussion by any means. They’ll need to get a win this week though.
With 17 touchdowns and five interceptions on the year, Newton has limited turnovers of late. He has just one, against Pittsburgh, in the last four games. That includes a trio of wins before stumbling last week.
The Lions are struggling at all facets, especially against matchups in the pass game. Mobile quarterbacks have given them trouble and Trubisky, while not running all that much last week, was effective. Cam should be in line for a cool 25+ this week.
