6. Alex Collins vs Cincinnati

We talked Lamar Jackson, now to the other key factor in a different Baltimore offense this season. Alex Collins plays a big role, yet the Ravens run offense this year has been abysmal. After a really strong 2017 campaign with nearly 1,000 yards on 212 carries, Collins numbers have dipped a tad this year.

Now that’s not to say there isn’t an improvement. Collins had six touchdowns in 2017 and has already matched that this year. Through nine games this year though, Collins only has 393 yards on 107 touches. I’d like to see his role take an even bigger step with Jackson potentially under center.

Collins has a touchdown in each of the last two games and four in the last four. That includes a pair in the shutout of Tennessee, their best outing of the year by far.

When I talked about Jackson I mentioned the balance he can bring not only to the passing game but to the run game. That can only benefit Collins, especially if they use option plays more heavily. Collins is a solid RB2 this week in my opinion, flex if you’ve got the best at back already.
