High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Nikola Vucevic (vs NY – $8,700): Needs 40.9 fantasy points. Vucevic had a monster 57.25 fantasy point game against the Lakers on Saturday. The matchup was good on Saturday and it’s just as good on Sunday. Vucevic is a high ceiling player who is playing the best basketball of his career. Against the Knicks, he should have no problem pouring in points and grabbing rebounds. Diagnosis: The only real concern is a lack of minutes. But he’ll produce for as long as he plays.

Hassan Whiteside (vs LAL – $8,100): Needs 38.1 fantasy points. Whiteside’s play has tailed off a bit, but I like the matchup on Sunday. The Lakers still have frontcourt issues and they are on a back-to-back. Whiteside is always a double-double threat and the rebounding potential remains higher than just about any player in the league. At the very least, he’ll be at value. But expect more given the matchup. Diagnosis: Good matchup, very high ceiling.

Jusuf Nurkic (at WAS – $6,800): Needs 32 fantasy points. Nurkic had 28.25 fantasy points in 23 minutes against the Timberwolves. His minutes have been inconsistent, but he’s always productive in those limited minutes. He had 52 fantasy points against the Wizards on Oct. 22. Those Wizards didn’t have Dwight Howard, so keep that in mind if you’re the last believer in Dwight Howard. Diagnosis: Great matchup and high ceiling.
