High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

JaVale McGee (at MIA – $6,500): Needs 28.7 fantasy points. McGee was down to 14.8 fantasy points and 16 minutes on Saturday. That’s a concern, but I’m willing to chalk it up to just a rough night for McGee and the Lakers. He’s been solid for the majority of this season and should be utilized to try and deal with Whiteside, who doesn’t have the post game of Vucevic. Diagnosis: A slight risk after Saturday. And at this salary, it might be tough to give him this game.

Enes Kanter (at ORL – $5,900): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. Kanter played just 15 minutes against the Pelicans and had just 15 fantasy points. As always, when he gets the minutes, he produces. But minutes are tough to come back for him because he’s getting roasted on defense. He did have 34.5 fantasy points in 26 minutes against the Magic on Nov. 11. So if you’re looking for some hope, there it is. Diagnosis: Slight risk, but if you think he’ll get the minutes, there’s reason to take him over McGee.

Mitchell Robinson (at ORL – $4,500): Needs 19.9 fantasy points. And if you don’t want to take a risk with Kanter or McGee, there’s Robinson. He will get some guaranteed minutes and he’s been playing well as of late. He had 35.8 fantasy points against the Magic on Nov. 11. If nothing else, at this salary, he’ll be reliable to at least give you value. Diagnosis: Low-cost and reliable. Even a solid ceiling.
