High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

John Wall (vs POR – $9,800): Needs 40.9 fantasy points. Wall has been under 35 fantasy points in each of his last two games. One game was due to a lack of minutes, so that’s not concerning. The more concerning game is the Brooklyn game, where he had 30.7 fantasy points in 38 minutes. He typically gets his numbers, but I don’t know how to feel about the Wizards right now. And this salary just feels a bit too high. Diagnosis: He’ll get numbers, I’m just not sure it’ll be enough to put him at a big game, which you need at this salary.

Damian Lillard (at WAS – $9,400): Needs 39.2 fantasy points. Lillard was down to 25.7 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Nov. 16. His shot wasn’t falling, but I’m not overly concerned. He’s too good of a scorer to struggle in the same manner, especially against a defense as poor as Washington’s. Expect him to be much better on Sunday. Diagnosis: I like him more than Wall simply because the Wizards defense is the exact opposite of the Blazers defense.

Goran Dragic (vs LAL – $6,200): Needs 25.9 fantasy points. Dragic is listed as questionable at the moment. And typically I don’t list those on the injury report unless they are probable. But your high salary options are pretty limited. Check his status before making any decisions. If he does play, the matchup is good, but Dragic is one of the most inconsistent higher salary guys in DFS. He played well against the Lakers last season, ending up at 35 fantasy points in both games. And the Lakers defense is bad. Diagnosis: If he plays, he’s an inconsistent option with a good matchup and high ceiling.
