High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Tyler Johnson (vs LAL – $4,700): Needs 19.6 fantasy points. And if Dragic doesn’t play, you can always roll with Johnson, who is likely to get big minutes with or without Dragic. He’s a great option at this salary, not only for the minutes he’ll get but also his skill set and the matchup. If Dragic doesn’t play, take Johnson with confidence. Diagnosis: Could have a big night if Dragic ends up sitting. Love the minutes and salary.

Emmanuel Mudiay (at ORL – $4,500): Needs 18.8 fantasy points. Mudiay has drawn the start in the last two games and has done fairly well. He was up to 37.2 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Nov. 16. Offense has never been an issue for Mudiay, which is the good news. And the Magic defense still isn’t great. But Mudiay has never been the most reliable option, which is what concerns me. Diagnosis: Should get minutes and can score. But inconsistent.

D.J. Augustin (vs NY – $4,400): Needs 18.4 fantasy points. Augustin had 31.7 fantasy points against the Lakers on Saturday. The matchup is just as good on Sunday as the Knicks are terrible. Augustin should get the minutes to produce and I’m going to trust him to get points and assists given the opponent in front of him. He’s been reliable this season, hitting value in 73 percent of games. Diagnosis: Low-cost, reliable, good ceiling, very good matchup. Maybe minutes are a concern.
