FanDuel NFL 2018: Week 11 lineup
FLEX: Alex Collins, Baltimore Ravens- $6,000
Defense: Carolina Panthers- $4,000
The Baltimore Ravens are on three game losing skid and desperately need a victory against the Cincinnati Bengals. They enter this game coming off a bye, but may be without their starting quarterback.
Joe Flacco has been dealing with a hip injury and was on crutches during the Ravens’ off week and his status is in the air for their week 11 matchup against the Bengals. If Flacco can not play, it will be rookie Lamar Jackson or veteran Robert Griffin III taking control of the offense.
With that being said, it could potentially be a big dose of Collins. The third year back is only averaging 3.7 yards per carry, but has scored six touchdowns. Collins, David Johnson and Isiah Crowell each have six scores, tied for sixth most in the league.
Collins has yet to have 20+ carries in a single game this year. But, in the two games he had at least 18 carries, he scored at least one touchdown and the Ravens were victorious.
The Bengals have allowed 1,066 rushing yards, seventh most in the league. Backs have tallied 265.9 fantasy points against Cincinnati, fifth most in the league and on average they have given up 29.5 fantasy points per game.
If Flacco isn’t healthy enough to get the start, the Ravens should lean on Collins to get them back in the win column.
It’s hard to pick a defense that just allowed 52 points in their last game, but the Carolina Panthers are coming off a bye and have had time to regroup. Carolina has allowed 3,215 total yards, 13th in the NFL.
The strongest part of their defense is their ability to stop the run. They have given up 891 yards, ninth in the league. They also have a knack for recording interceptions and have 11 on the year, tied with the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots for fourth most in the NFL.
Carolina is on the road against the Detroit Lions, but it seems the Lions’ year is starting to slip away. Detroit has lost three consecutive games and their offense has averaged 15 points per game during that stretch.
The Panthers will look to bounce back after they were demolished and they take on the perfect opponent to get back on track.
