The Iowa Hawkeyes unsurprisingly held Illinois completely scoreless. That’s not shocking at all for a team that has a pretty good defense facing a team that, for all intents and purposes, is a complete and total mess. What was somewhat shocking from this game was Iowa scoring 63 points. The Hawkeyes didn’t let up once against Illinois and scored at will on Saturday. This week, Iowa is aiming to end the season with 8 wins as the Hawkeyes host an improving Nebraska team.

For the moment, Penn State is still one of the four best teams in the Big Ten, but the Nittany Lions really shouldn’t be struggling to score against teams like Rutgers. Penn State was supposed to be an offensive juggernaut this year despite losing Saquon Barkley and Joe Moorhead and, well, the Nittany Lions didn’t look one against the Scarlet Knights. Penn State will need to play better this weekend. The Maryland Terps are coming to Happy Valley to play the Nittany Lions and Maryland did a great job against Ohio State, coming close to upsetting the second best team in the Big Ten. If Penn State struggles to put up points against Maryland, then it might find itself in trouble during its last game of the season.

The Northwestern Wildcats have locked up the Big Ten West and were able to move past Minnesota this past weekend. Now, the Wildcats must start preparing for the Big Ten Championship Game against either Ohio State or Michigan. The Wildcats will be hosting Illinois this weekend and shouldn’t have too much issue getting their 8th win of the season before the conference title game.
