High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Collin Sexton (at DET – $6,000): Needs 25 fantasy points. Sexton continues to get big minutes and while he hasn’t shown off too high of a ceiling, there have been encouraging signs in the last handful of games. He had 26.5 fantasy points in 25 minutes against the Pistons on Oct. 25. The minutes will be there, and while the salary is a bit high, I like his progression. Diagnosis: Slight risk for the rookie reasons, but the matchup is good and he’s playing with confidence.

Reggie Jackson (vs CLE – $5,600): Needs 23.3 fantasy points. Jackson has been inconsistent and honestly, disappointing this season. The ceiling is there and he can get buckets and assists in a hurry, but it’s just not there on a game-to-game basis. It’s the Cavaliers, so I’d like to trust him. And he does have a high ceiling. Diagnosis: Risky at this salary, but he typically gets the minutes, the matchup is great, and his ceiling is high.

Shelvin Mack (vs DAL – $5,100): Needs 21.2 fantasy points. Mack was down to 19.2 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Sunday, but otherwise, he’s been great during this recent stretch. I’m willing to chalk up Sunday to an off night and figure he’ll bounce back on Monday. The minutes are there and he can do a bit of everything with the second unit. If nothing else, he’s reliable. Diagnosis: Reliable option with a good matchup and a relatively high ceiling.
