High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Danilo Gallinari (at ATL – $6,500): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. Gallinari had 36.6 fantasy points against the Nets on Nov. 17. Gallinari has been consistent all season, although the rise of Montrezl Harrell cuts into his value a bit, at least when it comes to rebounding. The points will continue to be there and should come easy against the Hawks. Because it’s the Hawks. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling and a great matchup.

Harrison Barnes (at MEM – $6,300): Needs 25.7 fantasy points. If Matthews is unable to play, Barnes is once again a great option. He had 34.1 fantasy points against the Warriors on Nov. 17. He’s been inconsistent this season, but that’s been due to the new pieces in Dallas. Without Matthews, he can play a bit more like he did last season. Diagnosis: Strong option with Matthews out. The matchup isn’t great, but Memphis is on a back-to-back.

Rudy Gay (at NO – $5,900): Needs 24 fantasy points. Gay had 33.5 fantasy points against the Warriors on Sunday. He’s been looking better and better since returning from injury and he was up to 30 minutes on Sunday. He should log big minutes against the Pelicans with their frontcourt rotation. His rebounds will be down next to Aldridge, but the scoring should be there. He also chips in defensively. Diagnosis: Playing well and a good matchup.
