Ridiculously early 2019 NASCAR power rankings: Who’s the favorite for next season?
By Nick Tylwalk
8. Brad Keselowski
Is this too low for Brad K.? Maybe, but it depends if he can summon the form that saw him rampage into the playoffs and had people seriously writing articles about whether the Big 3 had become the Big 4.
For most of 2018, the 2 team was not quite like that, and with the new Ford Mustang coming in 2019, it’s fair to wonder if this is a group that will handle the adjustments needed in stride. Keselowski seems like one of the grumpier drivers about the new aero package, but then he kind of always seems like that.
The same note when it comes to Team Penske speed that applies to Blaney also obviously is true for Keselowski, so he’ll definitely be in the mix. It’s just that he feels like he’ll be on the fringes of contender status until he shows the world he can be that guy who was untouchable as summer turned to fall this year.
