Players costing over $6,667

Nikola Vucevic (vs TOR – $9,500): Needs 41.9 fantasy points. Vucevic has been over 50 fantasy points in each of his last three games. He’s playing great right now, but this is a tough matchup given Toronto’s defense. Vucevic wasn’t good against the Raptors last season, averaging 32.1 fantasy points in three games. Both teams are in different places, but many of the players are the same. Diagnosis: Playing very well, but this is a tough matchup.

Hassan Whiteside (vs BKN – $8,600): Needs 38 fantasy points. Whiteside was down to 27.4 fantasy points against the Lakers on Nov. 18. Struggling in that matter against the Lakers is a big red flag, but the Nets are a good opportunity for him to bounce back given how they’ve performed against frontcourt players this season. He’s typically good for a strong scoring and huge rebounding game. Diagnosis: His Lakers performance and overall inconsistencies worry me, but this is a fantastic matchup for him to put up big numbers.

Jusuf Nurkic (at NY – $8,000): Needs 35.3 fantasy points. Nurkic had 43.8 fantasy points against the Wizards on Nov. 18. He should have just as easy of a time against the Knicks on Tuesday. Even in limited minutes, he should have no problem putting up points and rebounds. He’s even chipped in with assists in recent games, which would be a big boost to his value. Diagnosis: High ceiling guy even in potentially limited minutes.
