High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

Tim Hardaway Jr (vs POR – $8,000): Needs 33.1 fantasy points. Hardaway Jr has been at 45 fantasy points in his last two games. The Blazers are a tough matchup, but he’s shooting lights out right now. His value is largely tied to his scoring, which can be an issue. His ceiling is high, but I have real concerns about this matchup and worry he’ll go cold at some point. Diagnosis: He’s hot right now, but the matchup is tough.

D’Angelo Russell (at MIA – $7,300): Needs 30.2 fantasy points. Russell had 49.6 fantasy points against the Clippers on Nov. 17. He’s playing great with LeVert out of the lineup. He only had 23.1 fantasy points against the Heat on Nov. 14, but played only 24 minutes. Assuming his minutes are up, his scoring will be up. Diagnosis: High ceiling, solid matchup as long as the minutes are there. And I expect the minutes to be there.

CJ McCollum (at NY – $6,700): Needs 27.7 fantasy points. McCollum has been up-and-down in his recent games. He was up against the Wizards, so if the trend continues, he’ll be down against the Knicks. But it’s the Knicks, so I’m going to trust him to bust the trend. Minutes are a bit of a concern as this one could be over if the Blazers are firing on all cylinders. Diagnosis: Good salary and a high ceiling. The matchup is great.

Quick Hits

Bradley Beal ($8,200): I love Beal. I do. But the Wizards are yikes.
