Players costing $6,667 or under

Evan Fournier (vs TOR – $6,600): Needs 27.3 fantasy points. Fournier was at 35.8 fantasy points against the Knicks on Nov. 18. He’s been solid for the most part this season, but this is a rough matchup. The Raptors can really lock in defensively and I’m not totally sold on the Magic, even if they have looked better in recent contests. Fournier can do a bit of everything, which helps is overall value. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but tough matchup.

Lou Williams (at WAS – $6,400): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. Williams was back up to 37.9 fantasy points against the Hawks on Monday. The matchup was good and Williams delivered. LA had to spend more energy than they probably wanted on Monday, but fortunately they’ll be walking into a game against the Wizards, who spent more energy than the Clippers on Monday despite not playing a game. Williams will get his. Diagnosis: He’ll post big scoring and assist numbers.

Rodney McGruder (vs BKN – $4,900): Needs 20.3 fantasy points. McGruder continues to provide solid value. He plays big minutes as the Heat are banged up in their backcourt. He hasn’t shown the ceiling he showed early in the season, but the potential is always there. He had 20.3 fantasy points against the Nets on Nov. 14. If nothing else, he’s reliable at this salary. Diagnosis: Reliable at this salary. Does a bit of everything, which is good.
