Carolina Panthers WR DJ Moore

While Devin Funchess is a quality player who is averaging 51.6 receiving yards per game this season, D.J. Moore has clearly emerged as the best wide receiver in the Carolina Panthers offense. With Moore, Christian McCaffrey, and Curtis Samuel, Cam Newton finally has a bevy of playmakers around him, and he’s shown a particularly important rapport with Moore.

Now a must-own fantasy football star, Moore caught seven passes for 157 yards and a touchdown in Week 11, destroying a burnable Detroit Lions defense. It was Moore’s first 100-yard performance of the season, but based on how well he’s played this season, it likely isn’t his last. After all, Moore did reach 90 receiving yards in Week 8 against the Baltimore Ravens as his first breakout performance before surprisingly taking a backseat in the Panthers following two games.

Moore, a first-round pick out of Maryland, is a mainstay in the Panthers offense going forward, and while these two big games against Baltimore and Detroit could be mirages, he’s worth rolling the dice on in fantasy leagues.

Owners will get to see just what Moore is made of in Week 12 when the Panthers take on the Seattle Seahawks. He’s worth the addition in fantasy leagues on upside alone, but owners will likely want to see how he responds against Seattle. The last time he had a breakout game, he caught just one pass in his following effort, so it will be interesting to see if he falls back down to earth against the Seahawks.
