FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – November 21, 2018
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Joel Embiid (vs NO – $11,200): Needs 49.6 fantasy points. Embiid had 60.9 (sort of nice?) fantasy points against the Suns on Nov. 19. It was the Suns, so it barely counts. The Pelicans offense is rolling, but their defense still has issues. Embiid had 49.2 fantasy points in 24 minutes against them on Feb. 9. He’s looked even better with Jimmy Butler taking some pressure off him. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a good matchup, given where the Pelicans defense is at.
Steven Adams (at GS – $7,300): Needs 32.3 fantasy points. Adams was down to 35.5 fantasy points against the Kings on Nov. 19. With Westbrook back in the lineup, his opportunities do go down a little, but he still provides scoring and rebounding value. And the Thunder love using him against the Warriors. Expect them to go to him even more often with Draymond Green out of the lineup. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup, high ceiling.
Deandre Ayton (at CHI – $7,000): Needs 31 fantasy points. Ayton has been up-and-down as a rookie, but that just comes with the territory of being a rookie. He’ll have a chance to return to over 40 fantasy points against the Bulls because it’s the Bulls. They aren’t very good. Ayton should have no problem getting points and rebounds in this one. Diagnosis: Expect a big performance given the matchup.
