2019 NFL Mock Draft: 49ers land Nick Bosa
By Brad Weiss
The Cleveland Browns made the decision to fire Hue Jackson a couple of weeks back, and the assumption was that offensive coordinator Todd Haley would take over as head coach. Well, the team decided to fire Haley too, and it has proved to be a good move, as the team has looked much better in recent weeks.
Last year, the Browns had the first overall pick for the second straight draft, and went with Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield. During his short time as the starter, he has proven to be a legitimate NFL quarterback, and is a guy that this team really rallies around from week to week.
The year before, the team selected Texas A&M edge rusher Myles Garrett, who has become one of the best in the game at what he does. After going offense with their first pick in 2018, they should turn back to the defense, and add another cornerback that they can team with 2018 first round pick Denzel Ward.
Ward was the No. 4 overall pick this past April, and he has really been a bright spot for this team in year one. If the Browns can go out and get another young cornerback, they could solidify the position for years to come, and when it comes to talent on the roster as a whole, they are so close to being a contender in the AFC North.
