4. Take the Buccaneers -3 vs. San Francisco

We don’t have any faith that Jameis Winston can be the Buccaneers’ quarterback of the future. However, we do trust him to put up points against the 49ers this week. San Francisco has been surprisingly spry after Jimmy Garoppolo’s injury, but they won’t win this matchup of cellar dwellers.

Remember, despite all of the drama in Tampa Bay, this is still the No. 1 passing offense in the NFL. They’re throwing for 361 yards per game. That isn’t a trend that is going to change at home against the 49ers defense.

The danger here is that Winston will turn the ball over enough to keep the game close. That’s always a possibility, but the catch radius of Mike Evans and the speed of DeSean Jackson should give him a significant margin for error. Essentially, we’re betting on Winston to make slightly more good plays than bad plays.

It’s very possible this game will develop into a shootout for a half. As interesting as Tampa Bay’s offense is, their defense is equally boring in a bad way. Fortunately for them, there’s no one on the San Francisco offense that really strikes fear in the hearts of opposing defensive coordinators.

Don’t get cute with this one, but take the Buccaneers and give up the field goal. This won’t be a relaxing cover, but the Bucs should prevail.
