1. Rondon, Newcastle continue good form to beat Burnley

Newcastle have climbed out of the relegation zone in recent weeks with big victories over Watford and Bournemouth. Both of those came at home and were inspired by Venezuelan striker Salomon Rondon.

The big center-forward was struggling to make an impact and was perhaps suffering from injury at the start of the season but he looks like he’s finding his feet now. Newcastle fans will hope that he keeps up his scoring form as the Toon head to Turf Moor to face off against Burnley.

Turf Moor is normally an incredibly difficult place to go to but this season the Clarets haven’t maintained that fortress status at home. They’ve only managed one win at home, losing three and drawing the other.

That should give Rafa Benitez and Newcastle confidence in their chances of winning this match on Monday, especially now they’re not chasing their first win and are out of the relegation zone, easing some of the pressure.

Burnley have had a tough run of fixtures having played Manchester City, Chelsea, West Ham and Leicester in the past four weeks. They’ll look to this match as a good opportunity to get three valuable points and their season back on track.

This game looks like it should finish 1-0 to one side or the other. Combined, the two sides have just 21 goals after 12 matches. If Newcastle can score early on, they might present a defensive front that Burnley can’t break down.
