High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Joel Embiid (vs CLE – $11,500): Needs 50.9 fantasy points. Embiid has been great in recent contests, going over 55 fantasy points in his last three games. The Cavaliers are a great matchup and I’ll always trust Embiid in a personal matchup. Don’t think he forgot about the comments made by Tristan Thompson prior to the season. He remembers and he’ll dominate Thompson on Friday. Diagnosis: Great matchup and Embiid typically delivers in a big way.

Rudy Gobert (at LAL – $7,900): Needs 35 fantasy points. Gobert had 41.5 fantasy points against the Kings on Nov. 21. He’s been inconsistent this season, but he does have a high ceiling with his rebounding, scoring, and defense. I have to trust this matchup as the Lakers have struggled against centers all season. The Jazz are a mess, but Gobert has the potential to come up huge. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but good matchup and high ceiling.

Jusuf Nurkic (at GS – $7,800): Needs 34.5 fantasy points. Nurkic had just 23.2 fantasy points in 22 minutes against the Bucks on Nov. 21. If the Warriors don’t have Draymond Green, they continue to be undersized and relying on unproven frontcourt players. Nurkic always has the ability to dominate with his scoring and rebounding. If Draymond plays, the matchup becomes slightly tougher. Diagnosis: Take with confidence if Draymond Green is out.
