Buffalo Bills-Tremaine Edmunds

There haven’t been a lot of bright spots for the 3-7 Bills this season. In truth, their record flatters their performance on the season. There certainly isn’t anyone on Buffalo’s struggling offense that deserves to be named the team’s MVP through 11 weeks.

That forced us to look on the defensive side of the football. That group has been feast or famine this season for Sean McDermott. No defender has dominated the competition consistently.

In the end, we gave the nod to Tremaine Edmunds. He hasn’t been the model of consistency, but he’s flashed real moments of brilliance for the Bills. At the very least, he’s proven he can be a solid starter for the team to build around.

Statistically speaking, he leads the team with 70 total tackles, including 49 solo stops. Add in two forced fumbles and it’s clear he’s been a playmaker in the middle of the field. We’d still like to see more natural instincts from Edmunds, but his athleticism is nothing short of outstanding. When the Buffalo defense has played well this year, he’s been the leader of the group.
