High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Derrick Rose (vs CHI – $6,500): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Rose continues to play great basketball and as long as he’s at a reasonable salary, you should continue to take him. The Bulls are not good and Rose will continue to post a high usage rate. The assists might be down now that Teague is back in the lineup, but he’ll get enough of those to go with his scoring to boost his value. Diagnosis: MVP Rose returns to Chicago. He’s a strong bet.

Quinn Cook (vs SAC – $5,500): Needs 22.9 fantasy points. Cook had 31 fantasy points against the Blazers on Friday. As long as Curry is out, Cook is always going to have a high ceiling as he is a good shooter in a lineup that needs scoring with only Durant and Thompson. He’ll have his rough games, but the ceiling is always there. Diagnosis: Slight risk, but the reward is good.

Shaquille Harrison (at MIN – $4,700): Needs 19.6 fantasy points. Harrison may as well not have played on Friday against the Heat. The shots were there, he just made nothing. Prior to Friday, he had been playing well in limited minutes. I’m going to trust him to bounce back because there’s no way he can be as bad as he was on Friday. The matchup is good as the Minnesota defense is better, but still a bit rough. Diagnosis: Low-cost and typically reliable. I promise he’ll make at least one field goal this game.
