High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Buddy Hield (at GS – $6,000): Needs 24.5 fantasy points. Hield was down to 24.5 fantasy points against the Jazz on Nov. 21. He’s bounced back with great performances all season, so I’m going trust him to do the same on Saturday. If the Warriors are healthy, meaning they have Curry, then this becomes a different matchup. But right now, Hield should be able to score against a rather messy defense. Diagnosis: High ceiling, bounced back all season, good matchup.

Justin Holiday (at MIN – $5,000): Needs 20.4 fantasy points. Holiday had a monster 53.6 fantasy point game against the Heat on Friday. He’s been inconsistent this season, but he’s flashed his ceiling more as well. He’s at a good salary and has a pretty good matchup in front of him. Diagnosis: I’ll call him reliable given the salary/matchup and with a high ceiling.

Eric Gordon (at CLE – $4,800): Needs 19.6 fantasy points. Gordon has struggled this season, but the matchup is good and the salary is great. If nothing else, he should get you value at this salary. If he finally starts finding his way in a role he should be comfortable with, look out. The minutes and chances are always there. Maybe he gets some extra run if the Rockets handle their business. Diagnosis: Reliable at the salary with the matchup. I have a good feeling that he finally breaks through.
