Players costing over $6,667

Joel Embiid (at BKN – $11,700): Needs 51.8 fantasy points. Embiid against the Nets feels unfair at this point. Even though he had just 38 fantasy points against them on Nov. 4, they are weak against the center and Embiid is the best center in the league (unless we’re counting Anthony Davis as a center). Embiid is always good for points and rebounds and he’ll have to do more if Jimmy Butler doesn’t end up playing. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a great matchup. He’ll post a monster game.

Marc Gasol (vs NY – $9,200): Needs 40.8 fantasy points. Gasol has been over 55 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He can be inconsistent because the Grizzlies are more defense than offense, but he’s still the top rebounder and scorer for them on most nights. Against the Knicks are their weak interior defense, he should get those points and rebounds. Diagnosis: Love this matchup and his skillset against them.

Hassan Whiteside (at TOR – $8,800): Needs 39 fantasy points. All chalk at the center position on Sunday. Whiteside has been inconsistent, but he’s shown a very high ceiling and can always do big damage with his scoring and rebounding. The Raptors can be undersized as they like to play small. Whiteside has the ability to really hurt them if they decide to stick with their small lineups. That, or he gets played off the court. I’m not sure there’s much in-between. Diagnosis: There’s a certain risk, but a very high reward.
