FanDuel NFL 2018: Week 12 lineup
FLEX: D.J. Moore, Carolina Panthers- $5,800
Defense: New England Patriots- $4,100
The Carolina Panthers drafted Moore late in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft to give Cam Newton another weapon. The rookie finally had his breakout game in last week’s 20-19 loss, against the Detroit Lions.
Moore caught a season high seven passes for 157 yards and one touchdown. He finished the game with 25.2 fantasy points. This was the first time Moore scored more than 20 fantasy points in a single game.
The former Maryland wideout, is second in nearly every receiving category amongst the position group for the Panthers. Moore leads the team with 15.6 yards per reception, which is fourth amongst rookie wideouts who have at least 20 receptions this season.
This week, the Panthers return home to face the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks have allowed 1,636 to receivers and 10 touchdowns. Opposing wideouts have totaled 312.6 fantasy points against the Seahawks’ secondary.
It won’t be the easiest game for Moore, but he has big play potential. He will need to carry over his momentum from last week if the Panthers want to keep their season alive.
Defensively, this was a no brainer. The New England Patriots travel to New York to take on a very weak Jets team. What made this selection even more appealing, was the fact that the Patriots defense was fifth-most expensive unit in Week 12.

They are averaging 7.50 fantasy points per game, which is better than the four defensive units ahead of them. Out of all the teams playing on Sunday, the Patriots are averaging the fourth most fantasy points per game.
The Jets enter this game only averaging 20.8 points per game, 23rd in the NFL. New York has not scored more than 10 points in their last three contests. Before their bye week, they were embarrassed by the Buffalo Bills, 41-10. In the loss, the Jets only compiled 199 total yards.
These two teams are trending in opposite directions and the Patriots will take advantage of how bad the Jets are.
