6. Marlon Mack, Indianapolis Colts vs. Miami Dolphins

Under Coach of the Year candidate Frank Reich, Indianapolis Colts second-year running back Marlon Mack is emerging as a feature back in this league. Mack averaged just 25.6 rushing yards per game and 3.8 yards per carry as a fourth-round rookie out of USF, but he’s averaging nearly 80 rushing yards per game in 2018.

His best work came as a true fantasy football breakout player in Weeks 7 and 8. First, Mack blew open a solid Buffalo Bills defense with 126 yards on just 19 carries, and he followed that up by dismantling the Oakland Raiders with nearly 27 fantasy points thanks to a pair of touchdowns and nearly 150 yards from scrimmage.

Mack hasn’t approached those heights since but he is coming off of a quality Week 11 outing against the Tennessee Titans. Mack turned 16 carries into 61 yards and a touchdown, and he’ll gun for his fifth rushing touchdown of the season this week against the Miami Dolphins.

It’s his softest matchup since that monstrous Week 8 performance against the Raiders, as both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Titans were able to contain him with their strong run defenses. Mack will get to face a Dolphins defense that allows 4.8 yards per carry and nearly a touchdown per game, making 10 fantasy points a realistic floor for Mack.
