High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Karl-Anthony Towns (at CLE – $10,800): Needs 47.9 fantasy points. Towns had 70.4 fantasy points against the Bulls on Nov. 24. Wiggins and Covington probably won’t play as poorly as they did against the Bulls, but Towns should still deliver in a big way. The points and rebounds have been there in just about every game since the Butler trade. And I still don’t trust the Cavaliers despite their recent games. Diagnosis: High ceiling player and a great matchup.

Nikola Vucevic (at GS – $9,000): Needs 39.9 fantasy points. Vucevic had 71.5 fantasy points against the Lakers on Sunday. He’s dominated the Lakers this season, so the didn’t come as too much of a surprise. The Warriors are a tougher matchup and they could have Green back in the lineup. The Magic are also on a back-to-back, where players don’t have it quite as much. The potential is there and Vucevic has been great this season, but there are things working against him. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but rough circumstances.

Julius Randle (vs BOS – $7,800): Needs 34.6 fantasy points. Randle picked up the start in place of Davis on Nov. 24 and finished with 58.5 fantasy points. If he starts again, he’s a fantastic option. Even off the bench, he’s been a strong option for the majority of the season. I don’t know what to think about the Celtics right now, but on the road against a desperate Western Conference team should lead to strong play by the Pelicans. Diagnosis: Take with confidence if Davis doesn’t end up playing.
