High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Derrick Rose (at CLE – $6,500): Needs 27 fantasy points. Rose has been over 32 fantasy points in two out of his last three games. The Cavaliers have looked better in recent contests, but they are still the Cavaliers. And maybe Rose has revenge on his mind after his stint with them last season. The minutes and shots are always there for Rose in this offense. Diagnosis: Good salary and matchup. High ceiling.

Collin Sexton (vs MIN – $5,800): Needs 24.1 fantasy points. Sexton has been over 33 fantasy points in his last two games. It’s been refreshing to see, but he is a rookie and can be prone to crashing back down at any moment. That’s the concern with any rookie, really. The Timberwolves are a good matchup as they don’t offer much defense. Diagnosis: Playing well, but a rookie. So be wary.

Cory Joseph (at UTA – $4,500): Needs 18.7 fantasy points. Joseph has outplayed Darren Collison for weeks now and just appears to be the better option. Of course, that means Collison will end up being the better play on Monday. But for now, I’ll trust the guy who has been playing better. The Jazz are on a back-to-back and I don’t trust them despite how they looked on Sunday. Diagnosis: Good salary and on a hot streak. The matchup is solid.
