High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,667

LaMarcus Aldridge (at CHI – $8,500): Needs 34.3 fantasy points. A lot of injuries to the power forward position. Aldridge was down to 23.1 fantasy points against the Bucks on Nov. 24. The rebounds weren’t there, but I trust they’ll be there against the Bulls, who will miss more shots than the Bucks. His scoring has been inconsistent, which is a worry, but it’s still the Bulls. Aldridge should deliver at least value. But expect more given the matchup. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but a fantastic matchup.

Aaron Gordon (at GS – $7,800): Needs 31.5 fantasy points. Gordon had 23.8 fantasy points against the Lakers on Sunday. The Magic are on a back-to-back and the Warriors have looked better in recent contests. If Sabonis ends up playing, I like him more than Gordon. The ceiling is there for Gordon, but I’m not a fan of the matchup or the circumstances. Diagnosis: High ceiling player who can deliver, but not much working in his favor on Monday.

Jayson Tatum (at NO – $6,800): Needs 27.5 fantasy points. Tatum was up to 37.3 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Nov. 24. He’s been inconsistent this season as the Celtics continue to work through things, but the Pelicans are a great matchup given their poor defense. Tatum did have 34.5 fantasy points in a game against the Pelicans last season. The scoring should be there if nothing else. Diagnosis: A good matchup with a good ceiling. But he’s inconsistent.
