High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Otto Porter Jr. (at NO – $6,600): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Porter Jr had 48.4 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Nov. 24. He’s been playing great right now and despite my reservations about the Wizards, their offense is clicking right now. I still maintain that the wheels can fall off at any point for this team, but this projects to be an offensive game and Porter Jr. should continue to chip in. Diagnosis: He’s hot and the matchup is proven.

Rudy Gay (at MIN – $6,300): Needs 25.9 fantasy points. Gay played just 17 minutes against the Bulls on Nov. 26. The theory is that Popovich wanted to rest him given the matchup and upcoming schedule. I’ll buy into the theory and trust that he plays more minutes in a much bigger game. Gay had 28.4 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Oct. 17. He’s reliable with a good ceiling. Diagnosis: Been a strong third option who can do more for the Spurs. The matchup is good.

Joe Ingles (at BKN – $5,800): Needs 23.8 fantasy points. Ingles had 28.9 fantasy points against the Pacers on Nov. 26. The Jazz offense is ugly, especially with Donovan Mitchell out of the lineup. But the Nets aren’t great and if Mitchell doesn’t end up playing, Ingles will have to do more on the offensive end. He’s a good salary given his ability. Diagnosis: Salary and matchup are good. He’s reliable with a good ceiling.
