Players costing $6,667 or under

Quinn Cook (at TOR – $5,400): Needs 22.6 fantasy points. Cook continues to be reliable enough as the starter alongside Durant and Thompson. He’s mainly getting it done with his rebounding as the Warriors do scheme to allow their point guard to rebound a bit more. The Raptors won’t make it easy on him and I’m worried about this matchup for him. But the minutes and chances will be there. Diagnosis: Nice salary, will definitely get opportunities. Tough matchup.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (at SAC – $5,200): Needs 21.7 fantasy points. He was great against the Suns on Monday. It’s the Suns, but he’s been very good during this recent stretch. I’m always worried about rookies and he’s on a back-to-back, but SAG is one of my favorite rookies this season and the Clippers are just a solid overall team. He’s at a very good salary. Diagnosis: I like him more than Cook at a better price.

Fred VanVleet (vs GS – $4,700): Needs 19.7 fantasy points. VanVleet is rounding into form and was up to 32.9 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Nov. 27. With the Warriors a bit thin, this is a great chance for VanVleet to take advantage of a weak second unit and get his scoring numbers. He’s hot right now and the hope is that he’s all the way back to form. Diagnosis: He’s hot and he’s playing very well right now.
