Wide Receivers

Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders – $9100

The Kansas City Chiefs are three for three in getting players inside the top five priced at each position. Tyreek Hill comes in as the most expensive of the bunch. With a trip to Oakland this weekend, Hill should find some success. On paper the Raiders rank as a middle of the league defense in points allowed to receivers. Hill and the Chiefs are not like the rest of the league. A Hill-Mahomes stack is a safe bet but will cost you a bunch.

DeAndre Hopkins, Houston Texans vs Cleveland Browns – $8200

Almost a full $1000 seperates Hill and second highest priced receiver DeAndre Hopkins. After a week where he watched his new teammate Demaryious Thomas score two touchdowns, Hopkins is ready to bounce back. The Texas are at home against a pesky Browns defense. Cleveland is about league average in points allowed to receivers. This is going to be an entertaining game but the smart money is on a bounce back week for Hopkins.

Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Carolina Panthers – $8100

Sometimes it is more than matchups that make a player a good bet in daily fantasy. That is the case for Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans. It is clear that Evans has a connection with Jameis Winston, which keeps the other receiving options muted when Winston is at the helm. Evans gets peppered with targets and rewards the team for it. Game flow will help keep Evans a good play this weekend. The matchup is not too bad either with Carolina giving up the second most fantasy points to receivers over the last four weeks.

Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings @ New England Patriots – $8000

After two quiet weeks, Adam Thielen returned to form against the Packers on Sunday night. He looked like the NFL’s best receiver at times this year, and has a partner in crime to keep some pressure off. Thielen will look to build on Week 12’s performance against the Patriots. New England has always thrived at taking away a team’s top option, so there is worry with Thielen. That being said the Patriots’ defense is one of the better against receivers in the league. This could be a week to leave Thielen off lineups.

DeVante Adams, Green Bay Packers vs Arizona Cardinals – $7900

Another receiver who may have tough sledding, despite a lot of opportunity is Green Bay’s DeVante Adams. With Aaron Rodgers at the helm, Adams can never be counted out. However the tough Cardinals defense, featuring Patrick Peterson, should give you pause. Arizona ranks as one of the ten best against opposing receivers. Adams would be more of a contrarian play than anything at this point.

Value Wide Receivers

Kenny Golladay, Detroit Lions vs Los Angeles Rams – $6700

It is rare to see a true number one receiver, in a good matchup, outside the top ten priced wide receivers. That is what you get with the Lions’ Kenny Golladay. Not only does he play a Rams defense ranking fourth in points to receivers per game, but he should have a positive game flow to boot. Golladay is the clear cut top target in Detroit, especially with a banged up Marvin Jones. With the offense needing to keep pace with the Rams, this could be a big week for Golladay.

D.J. Moore, Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers – $5600

Back to back big games for D.J. Moore have elevated the rookie’s price tag a bit. It is still a value at $5600, but especially this week. Even if Devin Funchess returns, Moore has shown that he should be the top option for that offense. He’s a yards after catch monster, and helps take pressure of Cam Newton and Christian McCaffrey. Moore gets a Buccaneers defense that is historically bad at stopping the pass as well.

Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos @ Cincinnati Bengals – $4200

Another rookie receiver that should see his opportunity increase as the season winds down is Courtland Sutton. Assuming the role of the departed Demaryious Thomas, Sutton has struggled. However the remedy that is the Cincinnati Bengals defense is here to help. Cincinnati is the worst defense in the league at giving up points to opposing receivers. Sutton’s big body will keep him a threat to score in the red zone every time Denver decides to pass.
