2. Terrence Crawford

34-0, 25 KOs

Previous Ranking: 2

After winning titles at lightweight and becoming the undisputed champion at junior welterweight, Crawford elected to move up in weight yet again and wet his feet at welterweight.

In his weltwerweight debut, he was able to put on a masterclass performance against WBO Champion Jeff Horn. Crawford looked to be the stronger fighter, despite moving up on weight, and he was able to do as he pleased against the outclassed Horn.

After picking up the title, Crawford made his first defense against a mandatory challenger, undefeated Jose Benavidez Jr.

Benavidez came to fight and had his moments, and it appeared as though he would hear the final bell, but Crawford who once again displayed just how special of a fighter he is, earning a 12th-round TKO victory.

Horn and Benavidez were both good fighters, but Crawford is special. It is going to take a fighter who is equally special to push him to his limits, and right now the only man who appears to be able to do that is Errol Spence Jr.

That is the fight to make, and would be the best welterweight fight in quite some time. Until that fight happens, Crawford will not lose baring an injury or colossus upset. Most of the talent at welterweight is with PBC, but none of those fighters (besides Spence) would be much of a challenge to Crawford. He is that good, and the Spence fight needs to be made sooner rather than later.
