3. Denver Broncos

Of all the teams to make a run in the second half of the season, the Broncos did not seem like the team to do it. Case Keenum was struggling, the running backs group was banged up, and the defense was unable to carry the load by themselves. However, the Broncos have picked up back-to-back wins and have improved their record to 5-6.

Although they still have a lot of work to do, if the Broncos to continue to grind out hard-fought victories, they could find themselves fighting for a wild-card spot. With wins over the Chargers and Steelers, the Broncos have proven that they are capable of hanging tough with some of the top teams in the AFC.

This week they travel to Cincinnati to square off with the Bengals who have fallen to 5-6 after their hot start to the year. The Bengals have dropped three straight and are trending in the opposite direction of the Broncos.

This is a perfect opportunity for the Broncos to take advantage of a reeling opponent and put themselves in a better position to make the playoffs. If the Broncos are 6-6 heading into Week 14, their destiny could be in their own hands. To label this a “must-win” would be pretty accurate. Will the Broncos get the job done on the road?
