DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Dec. 1, 2018
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Kawhi Leonard (at CLE – $9,600): Needs 43 fantasy points. Leonard had 56.5 fantasy points against the Warriors on Nov. 29. Leonard is always a reliable option and the ceiling is high. The matchup is fantastic, but almost too fantastic. This one could be over by halftime, meaning Leonard won’t get the minutes he needs to produce a big game. That’s about the only concern. Diagnosis: A blowout is concerning, but maybe the Raptors let the Cavaliers hang around after coming down from the Warriors game.
Jabari Parker (at HOU – $6,800): Needs 30.5 fantasy points. Parker was down to 20.5 fantasy points against the Pistons on Friday. Your options at forward might be a bit limited due to injuries. He was good leading up to Friday and it was a rough night for the Bulls all around. I’ll trust Parker to bounce back, but it’s possible his hot streak is over and he’s returning to the guy we saw earlier in the season. Just something to keep an eye on. Diagnosis: I like him, but don’t love him after Friday. But I still don’t trust Houston.
Robert Covington (vs BOS – $6,500): Needs 29.1 fantasy points. I’ve loved Covington ever since the trade because he’s going to get minutes under Tom Thibodeau and he’s a versatile player who can do a bit of everything. Even if the scoring isn’t there, he chips in with defense and rebounding. The scoring should be there against the Celtics, although they have maybe turned the corner after the rough start. Diagnosis: Great salary and a high ceiling given up minutes and talent.
