High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

James Harden (vs CHI – $11,900): Needs 49.3 fantasy points. Harden had 47.4 fantasy points in 28 minutes against the Spurs on Friday. Chris Paul is back in the lineup, which does hurt him a bit, but he still commands most of the offense. This has blowout potential for the Rockets, but if the Bulls are able to keep themselves in the game, Harden will get plenty of buckets against their defense. Diagnosis: Even in limited minutes, he’ll put up big numbers. A blowout is possible.

Zach LaVine (at HOU – $8,700): Needs 36 fantasy points. LaVine was down to 21.9 fantasy points against the Pistons on Friday. Chalk it up to an off night and expect him to bounce back. He’s been a reliable scorer all season and I still don’t trust the Rockets, no matter how good they looked on Friday. I’m going to trust LaVine to pick up his scoring in this game and do enough in other areas to boost his value. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back. His scoring has been there all season. It should return against a Rockets defense that isn’t quite fixed.

D’Angelo Russell (at WAS – $7,800): Needs 32.3 fantasy points. Russell was up to 43.2 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Friday. A good number given the matchup. The matchup is much easier on Saturday as the Wizards are a mess, especially on the defensive end. Russell has been solid since LeVert went down with injury. He’ll get points and assists in this one. Diagnosis: Good salary and great matchup. Back-to-back is worrying.
