FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 2, 2018
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,667
Donovan Mitchell (at MIA – $7,900): Needs 32.8 fantasy points. Mitchell has been over 43 fantasy points in three of his last four games. His only missed was against the Lakers when he played just 12 minutes due to injury. The Heat are a tough matchup, but Mitchell is by far the best scoring option on the Jazz. And with Korver in the lineup and on the floor, he has more room to maneuver. Diagnosis: The points will be there and he’ll chip in with other numbers. Salary is solid.
Luka Doncic (vs LAC – $7,400): Needs 30.7 fantasy points. Doncic didn’t score much against the Lakers, but still had 32.7 fantasy points. That’s a good sign for his value as it shows that even when shots aren’t falling, he’s good enough to hit value due to his all-around game. I expect him to shoot better against the Clippers, even if other numbers are down. He’s a rookie, but he’s been solid this season. Diagnosis: Trust in Luka. He’ll bounce back on Sunday.
CJ McCollum (at SA – $6,800): Needs 28.2 fantasy points. McCollum was at 42.3 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Nov. 30. His value can largely be tied to his scoring, which is the bad news when his shot isn’t falling. The good news is that he’s up against the Spurs and everyone is scoring on them as of late. He and Lillard should be able to get theirs in this one. Diagnosis: High ceiling given the matchup. Salary is good. I’ taking any good scorer against the Spurs at this point.
