High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Dwyane Wade (vs UTA – $5,700): Needs 23.6 fantasy points. Wade has been over 25 fantasy points in his last three games, including a 32 fantasy point effort against the Pelicans on Nov. 30 He can do a bit of everything off the bench and has been great at taking advantage of opposing second units while getting minutes alongside the starters. The Jazz matchup is tough if their defense is truly fixed. Diagnosis: Wade has turned into a reliable option who gets the minutes and has a high ceiling.

Garrett Temple (at PHI – $4,100): Needs 17 fantasy points. Temple has been fairly reliable this season due to his low salary. What I like about Temple, besides his salary, is that he plays a lot of minutes and can contribute in multiple areas. The Grizzlies have a lot of guys like that. He’s not going to post huge numbers, but every number counts and Temple just has a knack for making plays. That will be huge in a game between two very good teams. Diagnosis: Reliable at this salary. Minutes are there and maybe he surprises.

Kyle Korver (at MIA – $3,700): Needs 15.3 fantasy points. Korver made his debut for the Jazz on Nov. 30 and had 19.9 fantasy points. He opens up a lot for their offense and he’s a good shooter. The Jazz are good at getting shooters open. Korver is at a solid salary and I expect him to continue to get shots in the Utah offense. Trust him to knock them down. Diagnosis: Low-cost option who should continue to get looks. No real risk at this cost.
