FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 2, 2018
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,667
Montrezl Harrell (at DAL – $8,800): Needs 35.7 fantasy points. Harrell was at 35.7 fantasy points against the Kings on Nov. 29. His scoring numbers are up while his rebounding numbers are down. The scoring numbers will typically be there because he’s a handful in the paint. The rebounding numbers will go back up soon enough. The Mavericks would seem to be a good bet for it to happen. Diagnosis: Reliable, and though he’s come down to earth a bit, has a very high ceiling.
Tobias Harris (at DAL – $8,400): Needs 34.1 fantasy points. Harris has been solid all season, hitting value in 71 percent of games. He was at 41.2 fantasy points against the Kings on Nov. 29. He can do a bit of everything and his scoring numbers are typically there. They will be there against the Mavericks given their defense. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling. Nice fallback if you want to save $400 from Harrell.
Jaren Jackson Jr (at PHI – $7,000): Needs 28.4 fantasy points. Jackson Jr has been at 47 fantasy points in two of his last three games. He was down to 6.4 fantasy points in the other game. He’s shown a very high ceiling and as a player, I absolutely love him. But he’s a rookie and is prone to bad games. For example, he had just 12.7 fantasy points against the Sixers on Nov. 10. If Gasol is out, more opportunities will be there, but also more attention. And more Embiid. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but tough matchup and always prone to being a rookie.
Quick Hits
LaMarcus Aldridge ($8,000): I don’t trust the Spurs, but the Blazers are a good matchup and Aldridge typically plays well against them.
