High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Nikola Jokic (at TOR – $8,500): Needs 37.6 fantasy points. Jokic hasn’t been great in recent games, at least in reaching the ceiling that we know he’s capable of. Blowouts have played a role in some of that, so we’ll excuse him. The matchup is good as the Raptors have trouble with opposing centers. And Jokic can do a bit of everything and then some. Diagnosis: Feels like a game Jokic goes off in. The matchup is good and he’s waiting to explode.

Enes Kanter (vs WAS – $7,400): Needs 32.7 fantasy points. Kanter played 27 minutes against the Bucks but finished with just 18.4 fantasy points. He’s typically better when he gets that many minutes. He had 31.4 fantasy points in 24 minutes against the Wizards on Nov. 4. With the Wizards having frontcourt issues, Kanter should feast in the paint and on the glass. Diagnosis: Cold right now, but trust him to bounce back against this matchup.

Tristan Thompson (at BKN – $6,700): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. Thompson sneaks in over the salary high and walks into Monday playing well and against a great matchup. He was at 48.3 fantasy points against the Raptors on Dec. 1. And the Nets are the worst team in the league against opposing centers. Thompson has big scoring and rebounding potential. He should deliver here. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a good salary.
